A cacophony of whispers
Plays music in my ears
Stealing peace
Stalling pain
Peeping through
The keyhole of thoughts
Thumping beats
Breaking codes
Dancing to the tune
Of mirth
Of joyfulness
Yet so offbeat
Unsynchronised
Unmelodious
Wandering aimlessly
Towards the covert
Unearthing layers
Unfolding tales
Cracks and clefts
Marks and scripts
Buried in burrows of mind
Masked under frowns
Behind veiled smiles
And forged laughter
Forcing its way
Impressing its song
A pulsating rhythm
Hypnotic rhymes
Mesmeric lyrics
Flowing like a river
Like an autumn leaf
Like an early spring
Into the winter of time
Before the melody of summer
Becomes once again
A cacophony of whispers………..
